  • Is ozone dangerous?
Ozone has been found to be an extremely safe medical therapy, free from side effects. In a 1980 study done by the German Medical Society for Ozone Therapy, 644 therapists were polled regarding their 384,775 patients, comprising a total of 5,579,238 ozone treatments administered. There were only 40 cases of side effects noted out of this number, which represents an incredibly low rate of 0.000007%, and only four were fatalities. Ozone has thus proven to be the safest medical therapy ever devised. The American EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) scares many people away from ozone by having performed erroneous tests. They used corona discharge generators that were air-fed. Therefore, the ozone was contaminated with nitric oxide. They admitted at the 1999 Verona Conference that their results were flawed because of failure to control this contaminant. This safety concern does not apply to Ohen units because they use pure medical-grade oxygen.
  • Is inhaling ozone harmful?
This question is asked a lot. First, a distinction needs to be made between inhaling ozone directly, raw, versus inhaling ozone that is bubbled through olive oil. Inhaling raw ozone is harmful to the lung tissue and will cause extreme coughing immediately as well as vomiting. Ozone should never be inhaled directly in this way. For inhalation of ozone, the ozone gas needs to first pass through a measured volume of olive oil based on the concentration of ozone after which it is safe and very beneficial to inhale for respiratory issues such as asthma and seasonal allergies. Secondly, inhaling ozone produced from ambient air is harmful due to the presence of nitric oxide (see question above). Ozone produced from pure medical grade oxygen is free of contaminates and is safe.
  • Can I be allergic to ozone?
It is not possible to be allergic to ozone. The body actually makes it. Additionally, ozone breaks down in the body into oxygen and therefore you cannot be any more allergic to ozone than you could be allergic to oxygen. Contrary to what allopathic ozone doctors say, ozone is not a drug either. It is at its most basic explanation, oxygen carrying an electric charge.
  • Why is the smell of ozone so bad?
The dislike of the smell of ozone is one of the best markers of toxicity in the body. People who are clean and completely health generally love the fresh smell.
  • Does ozone speed up the aging process?
Aging and disease are caused by a lack of oxidation in the body. Oxidation leads to energy. Ozone is an oxidation agent. Dr Saul Pressmen explains this; “Your life force depends on oxidation. The more oxidation in your body, the more energy you have. The more oxygen free radicals in your body, the more light your body can create. The more light created, the higher your level of functioning and intelligence. Eat a good diet with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, and supplemental minerals (calcium, magnesium, chromium, iron for ladies) do regular liver cleanses, do ozone daily, go out in the sun for at least 15 minutes every day, eat sardines, drink flax oil and chlorophyll and aloe, and take brewer's yeast and sublingual B12 daily. Forget everything else.”
  • Can I use ozone for asthma?
Yes. You can get rid of asthma by breathing ozone bubbled through olive oil daily for a few months. It is important to understand that a slow build up of ozone is necessary where pre-existing conditions are present, such is the case with asthma. A healthy person can comfortably handle higher dosages of ozone than a person with pre-existing conditions.
  • Is breathing oxygen the same as ozone?
No. Breathing oxygen is not a healing solution, regardless of the reason. Breathing ozone is a healing solution to combat many conditions. There have been clinical trials where a control group gets oxygen, and the test group gets ozone. Invariably, the results are reported as 90 - 95% effective for the test group with ozone therapy and no effect for the control group with oxygen.
  • Ozone ear insufflation with artificial ear prosthetics
When it comes to prosthetics and ear inserts, always check if they are resistant to ozone before attempting ear insufflation. Titanium prosthetics are perfect to use with ozone. Silicone is also fine. If not titanium or silicone, first consult your doctor to find out what material the prosthetics are made of and contact an ozone professional before you apply ozone to that area.
